Alec has been associated with the mining industry for over 35 years, mainly in kimberlite and alluvial exploration and evaluation, 23 of which have been in Africa. Alec has worked successfully in harsh, remote and diverse cultural situations and has latterly specialised in project management and logistics. Alec joined Gem Diamonds' DRC operations in 2006 and subsequently transferred to the DRC in 2007.

Henry completed his articles with RSM Betty and Dickson in 2005 and he is a registered Chartered Accountant in South Africa. During his articles he performed assurance audit work, special purpose audits, various taxation assignments, managerial advisory and provided assistance with the listing of companies on the London Stock Exchange. During that time he was the IFRS expert advising companies on application of international accounting standards. He gained international experience on exchange programs in Australia and the United States. Henry joined Gem Diamonds in September 2007.

Following a 30 year career in mining copper, cobalt, gold and diamonds in Africa, Chris joined Gem Diamonds in November 2007 in the capacity of Assistant General Manager. Chris is based at the Company's administrative centre in Kinshasa and with frequent visits to the operational areas, Chris adds technical overall value to the DRC operation.
